Job summary

Woodland Heights Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard patients, staff and visitors. You will patrol extensively, monitor cameras, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe environment.

The role requires proactive communication, calm decision making, and knowledge of security procedures. Collaborate with responders and leadership during emergencies while maintaining excellent service. This is an on-site position at the medical center.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of security experience requested.
• BCLS certification required (AHA/ARC/ASHI acceptable).
• IAHSS certification preferred.
• Facility Security Officer Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols all areas of the facility to deter suspicious activity.
• Monitors surveillance cameras and inspects property for risks.
• Investigates and documents reports of safety concerns and security violations.
• Responds to alarms, emergencies, and incidents to ensure safe resolutions.
• Secures property after hours and verifies access control points.
• Directs traffic, enforces parking, and assists with crowd control during events.
• Collaborates with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
