Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license and 21+ years of age required upon hire.
• AVADE Level III and IAHSS Basic/Advanced Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
• Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises and other organizational properties.
• Maintains knowledge of and follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans.
• Facilitates planned drills and simulations.
• Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety on the premises.
• Manages facility access and security surveillance systems.
• Manages violent behavior patients and visitors using crisis management training.
• Monitors critical systems such as fire alarms, generators, elevators, and emergency call boxes.
• Performs threats and hazard assessments by both foot and vehicle patrol.
• Acts as a liaison with local law enforcement.
