Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Customer Assistance Patrol in Durham, NC. You will perform unarmed patrols in healthcare locations, deliver exceptional customer service, monitor access points, and respond calmly to incidents while following site procedures.

Role requires a HS diploma, 21+ years old, and background/drug screening as part of the employment process. Shifts run daytime to evening, with a focus on patient and staff safety.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen will be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining orderly movement throughout the location.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
