Allied Universal® is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Durham, NC to protect patients, visitors and staff at a healthcare location. You will perform routine patrols, deter incidents, manage access, and assist with directions with a professional service mindset.

The role emphasizes customer service and adherence to site policies, with pay rate of $18.54/hour and a flexible, shift-based schedule designed for part-time availability.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing rules vary by state/local law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures, assist with directions and maintain a professional presence.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and activity reports as required.
