Qualifications

• 1+ years of security experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 20+ pounds preferred.
• Pepper spray certification preferred.
• Handcuffing certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Conduct unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances and perimeter to identify and report hazards or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and directing visitors.
• Document patrols and incidents in clear and accurate reports.
