Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Hospital Security Officer in Jacksonville, NC. This part-time role requires weekend availability and pays $16.31 per hour.

Responsibilities include patrolling facilities, observing for security issues, de-escalating incidents, and assisting with patient safety and transport as needed. Qualifications

• Prior experience in security or customer service is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen per policy.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local laws.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, and unauthorized individuals.
• Orally and physically de-escalating individuals, as needed.
• Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite admittance to the facility.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, or inclement weather with calm urgency.
• May also include patient escort, patient watch, provide safety escort, assist and/or transport deceased to morgue.
