Job summary

The Valley Hospital-Paramus is seeking a security professional to help maintain a safe environment and manage parking controls while supporting transportation of staff and supplies. The role requires a high school diploma and at least two years of security or police experience.

Candidates must hold a valid New Jersey driver’s license, complete a minimum of six hours in Crisis Intervention, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork abilities in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years security experience preferred in health care or two years police experience.
• NJ driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum six hours training in Crisis Intervention.
• Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
• Ability to handle interruptions and adapt to workload changes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment and prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Control parking facilities and assist in transportation of personnel and/or supplies as needed.
