Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Six months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting or law enforcement/military service.
• One year experience as a Security Officer preferred.
• Security Guard license for CA required on hire.
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Driver's license issued in CA required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Protect staff, patients and visitors by responding promptly to calls for assistance; patrol facility by foot or vehicle; monitor alarms and dispatch officers as needed.
• Know emergency procedures, equipment, and hospital codes; report safety issues.
• Document incidents and HIPAA breaches; write clear, concise incident reports.
• Use proper emergency and radio codes; align actions with hospital policies and values.
• Demonstrate professional and technical security skills; build trust through respectful interactions.
