Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Public Safety Officer for the Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee. The role covers nighttime security from 11pm to 7am, with 8 hours per week and a rotating weekend/holiday pattern.

Responsibilities include patrols, incident response, and assisting patients and staff with safety needs. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of security/public safety experience.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year of experience in security, public safety, or customer service.
• IAHSS CHSO certification within two years of appointment.
• Valid driver’s license required for Wisconsin teammates.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services with a customer-service approach, maintaining professionalism and safety.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify hazards and ensure safety.
• Respond to emergencies, incidents, and calls, including violence or threats, following policy and training.
• Assist with traffic control, crowd management, and visitor assistance.
• Liaise with law enforcement and complete timely reports.
