Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid PERC from IDFPR after completing 20-hour security guard training.
• Valid FOID card.
• 28-hour firearms training within 2 years of FCC application.
• Eligible to obtain/maintain Illinois FCC within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide fixed and/or roving posts and respond to service calls and emergencies.
• Monitor alarms and video surveillance equipment and report incidents.
• Observe and document safety hazards and policy violations.
• Prepare incident reports and other written documentation.
• Assist law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Control access and visitor management; monitor vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
