Job summary

SYSTEM West Virginia University Health System is seeking a security professional to provide information, assist patients and staff, and maintain safety across WVU Medicine facilities.

The role requires healthcare security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and BLS/First Aid certification within 60 days of hire, plus state and federal background checks as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Obtain BLS/HeartSaver First Aid within 60 days of hire.
• State and Federal background check as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility and assist patients, visitors, and staff with information and directions.
• Provide physical assistance and transport services as needed.
• Monitor traffic flow in parking and restrain as required for safety.
• Respond to emergencies, incidents, or alarms per policy and procedures.
• Document activities and incidents clearly for supervision.
