Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Security Officer I responsible for ensuring safety of patients, staff, and property within the facility. You will patrol, monitor surveillance, respond to incidents, and uphold secure, welcoming environments.

The role requires 1 year of security-related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant certifications. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred and you will work evening shifts across weekdays.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security or related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• MASADA training within 9 months
• GA POST certification preferred
• Experience with non-lethal weapons preferred
• Healthcare security experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive Children’s vehicles as needed
• Patrol assigned locations on foot or by vehicle
• Report irregularities and incidents clearly and promptly
• Preserve order and enforce policies
• Respond to incidents and emergencies as first responder
• Collaborate with departments and safety agencies
• Investigate incidents and file concise reports
