Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Security Officer NB to ensure a safe healthcare environment. You will respond to security emergencies, observe and report incidents, and document thoroughly in the hospital system, upholding the facility's standards.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, CA Guard Card, CPR within 90 days, and CA driver’s license within 30 days. 6 months healthcare security experience or 1 year security work preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of security officer experience in healthcare, or one year in security.
• CA Guard Card required.
• CPR/Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire.
• Driver's License valid in California within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security emergencies promptly and maintain professional demeanor.
• Observe, report, and document incidents and requests in the hospital reporting system.
• Protect staff, patients, and visitors by patrolling and responding to calls for assistance.
• Know and apply emergency procedures, hospital codes, and use radios and dispatch protocols.
• Maintain logs of incidents with clear and timely incident reports.
