Job summary

Securitas USA is hiring a Healthcare Security Officer in Danbury, CT. The role involves protecting patients, visitors and staff in a healthcare setting, with a set schedule Thursday through Sunday from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM, totaling 32 hours per week. The pay rate is $19.05 per hour and training is provided.

You will monitor access points, respond to incidents, assist people with directions, and support emergency procedures while upholding professional service standards.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to pass background checks and have any required licensure.
• Experience in security, military, law enforcement, or healthcare is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits and key areas of the facility.
• Provide a visible security presence and respond to incidents.
• Assist patients, visitors and staff with directions and information.
• Enforce facility rules in a calm, professional manner.
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Support emergency procedures as directed.
• Work with healthcare staff to maintain a safe environment.
