Job summary

DSI Security Services in Birmingham, Alabama, is hiring Healthcare Security Officers to provide professional security and customer service in a healthcare setting.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma, be at least 21, hold a valid driver's license, and demonstrate 5+ years of verifiable security experience. Multiple shifts (First, Second, Third) are available with comprehensive benefits and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass background and drug screenings.
• Valid State Driver's License required.
• Military or law enforcement background or 5+ years of verifiable security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
• Observe, report hazards, and ensure compliance with post instructions.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
• Perform routine foot patrols and handle lifting as needed.
• Work effectively in all weather conditions.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by performing general security duties.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements, including specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
• Perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting as required.
• Work effectively in all weather conditions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Military or law enforcement background, or a minimum of 5 years verifiable security experience.
• Reliable means of transportation and communication.
• Must pass all required background and drug screenings.
