Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a security professional to oversee or coordinate shift operations, including electronic surveillance and rounds, ensuring safety for patients, staff and visitors. The role partners with the Environment of Care committee to promote a multidisciplinary safety culture.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent; State Driver's license; and optional State Guard Certification. Evening shifts with competitive total rewards are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred.
• State Guard Certification Registration Card preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• State Driver's license upon hire.
• Current DMV Driving History Report.

Responsibilities

• Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
• Perform security services, including electronic surveillance, and rounds.
• Coordinate facility response to potential problems for patients, employees and visitors.
• Enforce policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcement.
• Follow guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques to establish a safe workplace.
• Work with Environment of Care committee for a multi-disciplinary approach to safety.
• Participate in employee awareness and education.
• Drive as needed for company business.
