Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Security Officer to provide security services including electronic surveillance and routine rounds, ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will coordinate responses with hospital staff and adhere to security policies to enforce equitable safety measures.

Driving may be required for hospital operations. The role emphasizes collaboration with the Environment of Care and participation in employee awareness and education

Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• State Driver’s license upon hire.
• Current DMV Driving History Report

• Coordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors.
• Enforces policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcement.
• Follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care.
• Works with the Environment of Care committee to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to security and safety.
• Participates in employee awareness and education.
• Driving as needed for company business.
