Job summary

Interventional Pain Institute (IPI) in the St. Louis area is hiring a Medical Scribe to work alongside pain physicians. You will document patient encounters in real time, support clinical documentation, and help keep the EHR accurate and up to date.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule in Troy, MO, with an hourly pay of $20–$25. You will coordinate appointments, handle waitlist communications, and maintain patient confidentiality while collaborating with physicians and the care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately capture and document medical information.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable software.
• Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time, including histories, exam findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
• Record procedures, prescriptions, physician orders, lab work, and imaging information.
• Enter and maintain timely, accurate information in electronic health records.
• Schedule new patient and follow-up appointments.
• Contact patients when earlier appointments become available through the waitlist.
• Coordinate follow-up visits during checkout and document when scheduling is not completed.
• Communicate professionally with physicians, patients, and other members of the care team.
• Protect confidential patient and medical information.
• Assist with other administrative and clinical tasks as needed.

Interventional Pain Institute (IPI) is hiring a Medical Scribe to join our physician-led team in the St. Louis area. This position is a great opportunity for someone interested in healthcare who enjoys working directly with physicians and has strong attention to detail.

What You'll Do

You’ll work closely with providers during patient visits and help ensure clinical documentation is accurate, complete, and available when needed.
