Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Murray facility seeks a senior leader to run Safety, Security, and Emergency Preparedness. You will direct daily operations, manage a $1M budget, supervise 20+ staff, and drive compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.

You’ll collaborate with hospital leaders, public safety partners, and corporate teams to promote best practices, training, and risk mitigation while maintaining high quality service and a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
• 5 years of leadership experience in law enforcement or a security-related field OR 10 years of leadership experience in law enforcement or a security-related field.
• Thorough knowledge of criminal activities and loss prevention techniques.
• Demonstrated report writing ability and public relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Safety/Security and Emergency Preparedness.
• Manage department budget and ensure cost containment.
• Lead and develop security staff; conduct training and spill/response exercises as needed.
• Coordinate with local Fire and Police departments and other community agencies.
• Conduct security audits to identify loss vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
