Job summary

AdventHealth in Maitland, Florida, is seeking a professional to manage the Patient Safety Evaluation System and oversee risk and claims governance to ensure compliance with the PSQI Act and related regulations.

The role oversees Risk Master reporting, develops policies, trains staff, and coordinates with contracted PSOs to safeguard patient safety, data handling, and documentation retention across federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of federal and state healthcare law applicable to risk management and claims.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the PSQI Act of 2005.
• Ability to integrate laws into organizational processes and to embed patient safety activities.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in English to carry out job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of the Patient Safety Evaluation System and Risk Master reporting.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures related to patient safety activities.
• Interacts with contracted Patient Safety Organizations to define and monitor activities.
• Manages data management plans including disclosures, reclassification, and removal of patient safety work product.
• Monitors retention of PSES documentation per applicable laws and policies.
• Responds to security and confidentiality breaches of patient safety work product.
