Job summary

Springbrook Behavioral Health is seeking a Director of Risk Management to join our leadership team at our Behavioral Health hospital in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. You will identify and respond to threats to patient and staff well-being through safety surveillance and risk management strategies.

The role requires strong knowledge of federal/state regulations, Joint Commission and CMS standards, with leadership responsibilities across the hospital to implement corrective actions and drive

Qualifications

• MSN preferred; degree in nursing and licensure preferred.
• BS required in BSN or related field with comparable work experience.
• Extensive risk management, safety, and nursing experience in hospital settings.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory standards including Joint Commission and CMS.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, and pediatric settings preferred.
• Leadership in risk management and process improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify, coordinate, and evaluate responses to threats to patient and staff well-being via safety/risk surveillance.
• Ensure regulatory compliances and oversee corrective action plans.
• Direct risk management activities; coordinate with hospital administration and department managers.
• Respond to requests from Joint Commission, CMS, State Licensure Board and other agencies.
• Develop action plans oriented toward process improvement and safety culture.
• Support Quality and Patient Relations in safety, culture, and risk initiatives.
