Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to partner with the administrative leadership team and department management to provide continual risk assessment, develop policies and procedures, conduct investigations, and support compliance with federal and state requirements related to patient complaints and HIPAA audits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required. LPN or RN preferred.
• 2-3 years hospital experience; customer service experience.
• Must communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Mathematics and statistics background for analyses and reports.

Responsibilities

• Participates in policy, procedure, and process review and development.
• Conducts internal compliance investigations and audits hospital campuses and affiliates.
• Prepares detailed reports with recommendations to Compliance Officer and management.
• Coordinates patient complaints, logkeeping, follow-up, and reporting to the Director of Compliance.
• Log and track recalls; ensure timely distribution to appropriate personnel; verify issue resolution.
