Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Sr Consultant Risk Management to oversee risk assessment, patient outcomes analysis, claims handling, and education across the system. You will work with legal counsel and claimants, manage liability/ casualty claims, and lead risk reduction initiatives while collaborating with hospital leadership.

The role requires nursing credentials (RN) with a Bachelor’s degree, strong negotiation and data-analysis skills, and the ability to operate in a high-reliability healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• RN - Registered Nurse per Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Experience in healthcare operations, complaint handling, and conflict resolution with strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient complaints and claims, negotiate resolutions.
• Analyze adverse events and risk reports to identify trends.
• Support litigation teams; coordinate with in-house and external counsel.
• Oversee liability and casualty insurance claims and data collection.
• Represent Risk Management in safety, quality, ethics and compliance meetings.
• Deliver risk management education and training across hospital staff.
