Job summary

Salem Memorial District Hospital in Salem, Missouri, is seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle to lead the hospital’s revenue cycle from patient access through final account resolution. The role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is hands-on, driving accuracy in documentation, charging, coding, billing and collections.

The ideal candidate will improve cash collections, reduce denials, and optimize billing timeliness and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, accounting, health information management, or related field.
• Five+ years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle experience, including at least two years in leadership.
• Hospital revenue cycle experience preferred.
• CAH/RHC experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and payer processes.
• HFMA/CRCR/CHFP certifications preferred.
• Proficient with revenue cycle reports, dashboards, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor the full revenue cycle from patient access to final account resolution.
• Develop and maintain a revenue cycle performance dashboard and KPIs.
• Drive improvement in cash collections, A/R, and clean claim performance.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to resolve system and workflow issues.
• Lead and develop revenue cycle staff and establish standards.
