Job summary

Hannibal Regional Healthcare System, Inc. in Hannibal, MO, seeks an Executive Director of Revenue Cycle who will provide enterprise-wide leadership for revenue cycle operations across the hospital and employed physician practices.

You will optimize net patient revenue, safeguard revenue integrity, and ensure compliant, patient-centered revenue operations. You will align people, processes, technology, and data to improve financial sustainability, minimize leakage, and enhance the patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Certification preferred (e.g., HFMA, AAHAM, MGMA, or other relevant healthcare financial/revenue cycle certification).
• Significant leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including hospital and physician practice operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, manage complex operations, and drive measurable improvements in financial and operational performance.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of payer contracting, reimbursement methodologies, regulatory compliance, and revenue cycle best practices.
• Experience analyzing and supporting the administration of managed care agreements and reimbursement models.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources including personnel, budgets, systems, and operational infrastructure supporting revenue cycle functions.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and change management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical, operational, and financial teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-wide leadership and strategic oversight for all revenue cycle operations across the health system, including hospital and employed physician practices.
• Optimize net patient revenue and safeguard revenue integrity.
• Ensure compliant, efficient, and patient-centered revenue operations.
• Lead end-to-end revenue cycle performance by aligning people, processes, technology, and data to improve financial sustainability.
• Minimize revenue leakage and enhance the patient financial experience.
• Partner with clinical, operational, and financial leaders to drive continuous improvement and strong financial outcomes.
• Oversee management of Patient Access, Central Scheduling, Authorizations, Clinical Documentation Improvement, Utilization Review, Health Information Management, Coding, Professional Services Fees, Billing, and Account Resolution, across hospital and physician enterprise.
• Support development and ongoing management of managed care contracts and reimbursement strategies to ensure optimal financial performance and regulatory compliance.
