Highmark Inc. is offering a Summer 2027 Reimbursement Analyst Undergraduate Internship to provide hands-on experience in reimbursement operations, data management, analytics, and business analysis within the Professional Provider Reimbursement Operations (PPRO) team.

The program focuses on master data infrastructure, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to support efficient data flow across systems.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full- or part-time in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, MIS, Healthcare Administration, Computer Information Technology, or a related business or technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively while interacting with colleagues and stakeholders in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day operational problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services related to day-to-day operating objectives; receive guidance and mentoring from senior personnel.
• Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs to develop professional skills.
• Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or alternative proposals for action as requested by management.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
