Highmark Inc. is offering a Summer 2027 Reimbursement Analyst Undergraduate Internship in Washington, DC. The program provides hands-on exposure to reimbursement operations, master data management, analytics, and business support functions within the Professional Provider Reimbursement Operations (PPRO) team.

Interns will explore data analysis, documentation, reporting, process mapping, and project involvement to develop analytical, technical, and business skills for healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, MIS, Healthcare Administration, Computer Information Technology, or a related business or technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day reimbursement operations and data research.
• Assist with reporting and documentation activities.
• Map and evaluate business processes related to reimbursements.
• Support technical and process documentation efforts.
• Participate in projects and initiatives to improve operations and efficiency.
• Provide recommendations to support operational and strategic objectives.

Education

Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
