Job summary

Louisiana Blue is hiring multiple Reimbursement Analysts at Associate, Analyst, and Senior levels to join the Provider Reimbursement team in Louisiana. The role covers hospital, physician and other provider contracts governing billing and payments.

Candidates will provide analytical support, assist with contract development and reporting, and work with senior staff on system changes and training documentation. Experience in healthcare reimbursement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, accounting, finance, mathematics, health informatics or related field is required.
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication and report preparation skills are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and experience with SQL Server or Microsoft Access for building queries is required.
• Staff: 2+ years of professional financial experience in reimbursement or analysis is required.
• Senior: 4+ years of health industry accounting, billing, coding or statistical analysis experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry to intermediate level analytical support in the healthcare reimbursement department for hospital, physician and other provider contracts.
• Assist with development, implementation, oversight, analysis and reporting of reimbursement contracts including billing, payment, and utilization of health services.
• Work with senior staff to design system changes, training documentation, and guidelines for contractual billing, claim payments and analysis.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and statistical reports; may focus on Medicare Advantage line of business.
