Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience advising on healthcare regulatory, privacy, and commercial transactions.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and state privacy laws (e.g., NJ Data Privacy Act).
• Proficiency in data governance, information sharing, and data-use protections for PHI/PII.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, review, and negotiate broad commercial and clinical agreements.
• Advise on data sharing, data governance, and information-blocking issues.
• Counsel on TEFCA, business associate agreements, data use agreements, and health information exchanges.
• Support technology-related transactions including SaaS, cloud services, and AI-enabled services with privacy/regulatory emphasis.
• Collaborate with Information Security, Privacy, Compliance, and business leaders on risk allocation and vendor management.
