Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida seeks an administrative professional with coding experience to support hospice services. Responsibilities include handling referrals, patient scheduling, and coordinating with physicians, patients, and staff.

The role requires good communication skills, familiarity with EMR systems, and a solid foundation in ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding. A healthcare or call-center background is preferred, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and patient service.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv is required.
• 1+ years of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare administration, call center, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR and Microsoft Office Suite is expected.

Responsibilities

• Communicates clearly with coworkers, patients, and physicians.
• Maintains favorable image of the Medical Center and collaborates in a team environment.
• Keeps referral orders up to date to meet standard of care.
• Incorporates patient, physician, and customer needs into decisions and actions.
• Answers calls promptly and assists patients with questions and scheduling.
