Responsibilities

• Process referrals per department protocols and workflow documents.
• Work referrals within 24 to 48 hours; urgent referrals within 2 hours or the next business day.
• Obtain authorizations and schedule referrals to the correct provider.
• Manage 80 referrals per day and document status and communications.
• Answer phones professionally, greet callers, and document patient interactions.
• Update patient records with demographics, insurance, and contact information.
• Scan or imports necessary information into patient documents.
• Verify insurance and obtain authorizations.
