Job summary

Wesley Medical Center is seeking a Quality Coordinator to join the Quality Performance team in Wichita, KS. The role focuses on improving patient care quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across units and departments, partnering with physicians and nursing leaders to drive evidence-based improvements.

The position emphasizes collaboration, data-driven analysis, and the ability to adapt to diverse patient populations, from newborns to geriatrics, within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare-related field is required or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Creative and innovative thinker with the ability to learn and adapt to dynamic situations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to adapt techniques/treatment to age of population served (neonatal to geriatric).
• Keeps current knowledge of healthcare quality, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in quality, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Establishes effective working relationships with frontline staff, leaders, and providers.
• Reviews standards and guidelines to identify best practices and provides evidence-based recommendations.
• Evaluates clinical care quality by analyzing data from multiple sources and communicates findings to stakeholders.
• Reports data to stakeholders with tailored content.
• Facilitates performance improvement activities.
• Rounds on units to assess regulatory compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
