Job summary

Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a Quality Management Coordinator to support performance improvement activities for medical staff and hospital departments. You will oversee computer applications and data management for the Quality Department under the supervision of the Quality Manager.

Ideal candidates will have a CA RN license or other healthcare license, 3+ years in quality/risk within acute care, and familiarity with Meditech, HBOC, and data systems. Kronos/Excel/Word proficiency required.

Qualifications

• B.A / B.S preferred.
• Current CA RN license or other healthcare license preferred.
• CPHQ certification preferred.
• 3 Years current experience in quality, risk management or related clinical experience within the acute care hospitals setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical record coding and abstracting processes preferred.
• Experience with clinical data management systems such as Meditech, HBOC, etc. preferred or must have ability to be trained within 90 days.
• Working knowledge of computer operations such as spreadsheet development, database management and word processing required.
• Analytical skills necessary to handle non-routine, moderately complex administrative details and coordinate meetings/budgets.
• Superior telephone, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with physicians, staff, and the public.
• Proficient in Kronos, Meditech, Excel, Word, and patient care management systems.
• Proficient typing: 65 wpm.
