Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a Quality Product Improvement Engineer Coordinator to join our Quality Improvement department. This full-time hybrid role is based in Washington, D.C., working with physician leaders, data architects, analysts, and operational teams to drive population health initiatives using healthcare data and Epic HealthConnect workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, public health, data, informatics, engineering, or related field.
  • 1 year of clinical and healthcare operations experience.
  • Basic exposure to healthcare data, analytics, quality improvement, or clinical operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Must be able to commute to Washington D.C., one day per week.
  • Must provide influenza vaccine documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support regional quality and performance improvement initiatives by tracking measures, monitoring outcomes, and assisting with implementation across programs.
  • Partner with physician leaders, quality improvement engineers, analysts, data architects, and operational stakeholders to document workflows, requirements, and improvement opportunities.
  • Translate clinical guidelines and performance goals into measurable data elements and operational actions.
  • Support data collection, validation, reporting, and automation using enterprise data sources and reporting tools.
  • Prepare summaries and basic analyses to identify trends, data quality issues, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate Epic HealthConnect workflows, including chart review, outreach documentation, order management, secure messaging, and population care management activities.
  • Maintain documentation, standard work, lessons learned, and best practices for continuous improvement.
