Open Door Community Health Centers in Eureka, CA is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage receiving, returns, and vendor communications in a fast-paced healthcare purchasing team.

Temporary role from 12/01/2026 to 6/1/2027 with potential extension. Requires strong organizational skills, basic math, and proficiency with purchasing software. Reports to Purchasing Manager and collaborates with clinical sites and suppliers.

Mansioni

• Follows federal procurement guidelines and ODCHC policies and procedures.
• Receives packing slips from sites and verifies they have been scanned and received in purchasing software.
• Manages returns, communicating with sites and vendors and documenting in the purchasing software.
• Keeps receiving up to date and follows up with sites as needed.
• Helps train new site level purchasers.
• Assists with year-end inventories and on-site support as needed.
• Provides back-up department support as needed.
• Covers Purchasing Manager duties of placing and approving orders when needed.
• Performs specialized duties, projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
