Job summary

Tri-Cities Community Health in Pasco, WA is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage requisitions, orders, receiving, and distribution. You will evaluate purchases to balance quality and cost, and maintain inventory in our computerized system.

Under the Purchasing Manager, you will support contract management, bid processes, vendor evaluations, and coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate tracking and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree
• Two years of previous experience within a purchasing environment.
• Current WA Driver's License and Car insurance.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability to adapt to different customer needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships.
• Experience in reviewing contracts/prices, good computer and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Cross trained to back up purchasing staff including ordering of supplies/goods and processing of purchase orders.
• Assists with documentation and inventory tracking/adjustments required by Finance.
• Assists with contract management, negotiation, and evaluating vendors and bids.
• Ensures timely delivery of routine supplies, equipment and special-order items.
• Supports capital purchases review to ensure compliance with TCCH policies and HRSA requirements.
• Coordinates with Accounts Payable and Accounting to manage the materials system.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
