Valley Health in Woodstock, VA is seeking a Public Safety Supervisor to join our security team. This role supports the shift lieutenant, coordinates scheduling, payroll, and evaluations, and may patrol and respond to emergencies as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a mix of healthcare public safety experience. Occasional multi-site assignments and weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• One year of healthcare Public Safety or supervisory experience; prior military or law enforcement preferred.
• Valid driver''s license; American Heart Association certification prior to orientation; IAHP Safety Supervisor level within 1 year.
• Aggression management training within 90 days; instructor certification may be required.
• Knowledge of Public Safety systems and patient interaction; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Non-exempt; 3 A Administration; physical demands as described.

Responsabilités

• Supervise a shift of Public Safety Officers including scheduling, payroll, assignments, training and evaluations.
• Fills in as shift leader in the absence of the shift LT and conducts officer evaluations.
• Oversee investigations and forward to the manager or Director.
• Orient new officers and validate competencies.
• May be reassigned to another VH facility to support operations; works holidays and weekends.
