Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Public Safety Shift Supervisor to oversee a shift of officers, manage scheduling, payroll, assignments, training, evaluations, and behavior while on duty. This working role emphasizes patrols, incident response, and ensuring daily operations align with hospital needs.

The position requires leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work holidays and weekends across facilities.

Qualifications

• One year of healthcare Public Safety supervisory experience or equivalent.
• One year of healthcare Public Safety experience or three years in related fields.
• Prior supervisory experience with ability to motivate a team.
• Good PR, and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a shift of Public Safety Officers, including scheduling and evaluations.
• Act as shift leader in the absence of the Shift LT and review investigations.
• Ensure daily operations support hospital operations as needed.
• Orient new officers and validate competencies.
