Job summary

EVERSANA is seeking a Privacy Counsel to join our in-house legal team. You will shape privacy strategy, advise on U.S. federal/state and international privacy laws, and deploy privacy-by-design across health science services.

You will collaborate with IT, security, compliance, product, and operations to implement risk-based privacy programs, respond to incidents, and provide practical guidance on data collection, use, and de-identification in a fast-paced remote environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with active U.S. bar membership.
• 2–4 years in data privacy, cybersecurity, technology law, or healthcare regulatory matters.
• Operational experience in privacy programs and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA and related frameworks.
• Experience drafting privacy provisions in commercial agreements.
• Ability to translate legal concepts into actionable guidance for business teams.
• Familiarity with privacy technologies and governance tools.

Responsibilities

• Advise on compliance with U.S. federal/state privacy laws and international frameworks.
• Draft and negotiate privacy-related agreements and data transfer arrangements.
• Develop privacy policies, notices, and consent strategies.
• Guide incident response, breach notification, risk assessments, and reporting.
• Conduct PIAs and DPIAs for new products and data uses.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on trends.
• Collaborate with IT, security, compliance, product, and operations.
• Provide practical, risk-based legal advice on data collection, use, and de-identification.
