Job summary

The Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) seeks a Practice Manager to lead day-to-day operations in New London, CT.

You will drive operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality patient services in a respected nonprofit setting. Responsibilities include overseeing insurance verification, prior authorizations, revenue cycle and staff supervision, while collaborating with clinical and financial leadership to improve care access and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health or related field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of healthcare practice management, medical office management or healthcare operations experience; Prior supervisory experience required.
• Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), medical billing, credentialing, insurance verification, prior authorizations and revenue cycle management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily patient services operations including insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Supervise and mentor staff, provide training and onboarding.
• Improve patient flow and office efficiency.
• Manage billing, claims processing and revenue cycle.
• Analyze productivity and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to support quality care.
• Work with clinical and financial teams to reduce AR disruptions.
• Ensure regulatory and payer accreditation compliance.
• Oversee provider scheduling to ensure coverage.
