Job summary

ISG is seeking a Medical Planner to join its Architecture team in Sioux Falls, SD. You will develop healthcare planning concepts, coordinate with physicians, nurses, and project teams, and mentor other designers to deliver patient-centered environments.

You will engage with multidisciplinary professionals across project phases, apply evidence-based design principles, and contribute to marketing efforts while supporting business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture is required.
• Professional architectural licensure is preferred.
• EDAC and/or ACHA accreditation is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare planning or medical projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop healthcare planning concepts and communicate with clients and teams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and engineering teams across project phases.
• Apply healthcare planning knowledge to improve project quality and identify risks.
• Research space utilization and develop space programs.
• Partner with clinicians to align planning concepts with patient care and operations.
• Analyze service line data to develop space programs.
• Create unit and room layouts with medical equipment in mind.
• Develop multiple layout options and iterations.
• Coordinate master planning and pre-design through design development with teams and clients.
• Stay updated on healthcare design trends, LEAN, and evidence-based design.
• Mentor and manage design team members in medical planning.
• Participate in marketing and business development.
