Job summary

ISG, a national architecture, engineering, planning and interior design firm, is seeking a Medical Planner for our Healthcare Business Unit in Bloomington, MN. You will partner with physicians and healthcare leaders to develop planning solutions addressing evolving patient care and space needs, collaborating with leaders Tarah Raaum and Chris Heidrich.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture is required.
• Architectural licensure is strongly preferred.
• EDAC and/or ACHA accreditation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare projects, medical planning, or a related field is required.
• Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of healthcare planning and programming principles and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop healthcare planning and programming concepts while communicating with clients and project teams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across project phases.
• Apply industry knowledge to improve project quality and identify risks.
• Analyze space utilization to determine current and future needs.
• Partner with clinicians to align on planning concepts and space solutions.
• Analyze service line data and develop space programs.
• Develop unit and room layouts with medical equipment in mind.
• Create multiple layout options to reach ideal states.
• Coordinate master planning and pre-design studies with teams and clients.
• Stay informed on healthcare design trends and LEAN strategies.
• Mentor and manage other design team members in medical planning.
• Participate in marketing and business development.
