Wayne County Hospital Inc. in Corydon, IA, is seeking a Payroll/HR Assistant to handle bi-weekly payroll processing, time edits, and reporting, while supporting the HR Director with daily operations.

The role requires an Associate degree, 3–5 years in HR in healthcare, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; background checks and vaccines as described. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with scheduled shifts Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• Two year Associate degree in Accounting or Business related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in Human Resources in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Three to five years of office experience with data entry, general accounting functions, and payroll processing.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Performs payroll processing for bi-weekly payroll processing according to established procedures including adjustments to time edit reports and generating payroll reports.
• Assists the HR Director in day-to-day operations of the department including maintaining schedules, organizing data, maintaining employee personnel files and completing general clerical functions.
