NMC Health in Newton, KS is seeking a Payment Specialist to join our Accounting Department. The role posts all incoming money receipts, processes patient payments by phone, and handles insurance posting with adjustments.

This hourly, non-exempt position reports to the Payment Supervisor and provides essential support to clinical and hospital billing staff. A High School diploma and 1–2 years in a hospital/clinic setting are preferred; Excel and 10-key skills are recommended.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associates preferred but not required.
• 1–2 years of experience in hospital/clinic setting preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance posting and patient payments is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Post all incoming money receipts and process patient payment calls.
• Handle insurance payments posting with adjustments and patient balances.
• Support hospital billing staff and maintain accuracy in accounts receivable.
