McPherson Hospital Inc. is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to ensure timely, accurate charging, receipting and collection. You will follow up with insurance carriers and patients to secure prompt payment and post balances to patient accounts.

• Reading insurance forms and carrier guidelines.
• Ability to write routine correspondence and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation for accurate charging and clean claim generation with providers and staff.
• Generate and submit insurance claims daily and monitor aging reports.
• Maintain productivity per industry standards and departmental policies.
• Perform follow-ups with payers to minimize delays.
• Maintain outstanding/over 90-day balances at acceptable levels.
• Respond to information requests to aid adjudication.
• Attend training and meetings as directed.
