Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Everett, WA is seeking a Payment Posting Representative to join our office-based team. This full-time role supports payment processing, invoice explanations, and billing questions, with 8-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PST and 3 in-office days per week.

You will post insurance and self-pay payments, investigate posting errors, maintain documentation, and uphold productivity and quality standards while delivering a positive, compliant customer experience in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent years of work experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ years working in a medical/clinical billing setting.
• Professional working knowledge of CPT & Diagnosis Coding, Medical Terminology, and basic Anatomy.
• Experience with computers and Windows based programs including Microsoft Suite and other systems.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday with 8-hour shift schedules during business hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with payment processing and billing questions.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation for all transactions.
• Post insurance and self-pay payments according to explanations of benefits or self-pay statements.
• Investigate payment posting related errors and correct as needed.
• Work credits created by payment posting team to ensure timely processing of payments.
• Maintain payment status and billing records through corrections and adjustments.
• Consistently meet productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards.
• Assist with in-office Administrative/Clerical tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
