Job summary

Hunterdon Health seeks a Business Engineer to act as an internal consultant, applying industrial engineering and Lean methodologies to improve patient access, throughput, and financial performance across physician practices and ambulatory services.

The role partners with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders; utilizes data analysis and process mapping to identify opportunities, design future-state workflows, and drive sustainable change in a complex healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Operations Management, Systems Engineering, or a related field required.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in healthcare operations, management engineering, industrial engineering, operational excellence, performance improvement, or healthcare consulting.

Responsibilities

Operational Improvement: evaluate workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement evidence-based workflow improvements.
Capacity and Productivity Analysis: perform staffing assessments and capacity planning to optimize clinic operations.
Data Analysis and Performance Measurement: develop dashboards and scorecards to monitor performance.
Project Management: lead cross-functional improvement projects from assessment to implementation.
Collaboration: partner with physicians, leadership, IT, and administrative departments to standardize processes.
