A rapidly growing, multi-location healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Healthcare Operations Director to oversee daily operations at its flagship facility while serving as a strategic, second-layer operational leader under the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In this pivotal, project-focused role, you will take full ownership of daily clinic workflows, employee development, and patient experience while driving major expansion initiatives, including doubling the physical footprint and business capacity of the headquarters. Working directly alongside a supportive executive leadership team, you will establish operational roadmaps, track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and manage cross-locational initiatives across regional practice sites. Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day clinical and administrative operations at the assigned primary clinic, ensuring a high-quality, efficient experience for every patient.

Lead operational planning and project management for facility expansion, supporting the physical and business buildout of the headquarters.

Direct, mentor, and develop clinical support and administrative personnel, fostering a collaborative, patient-centered culture.

Prepare the clinic for continuous growth, new service line implementations, and staff onboarding.

Coordinate regularly with physicians, mid-level providers, and administrative teams to maintain operational readiness and optimal patient flow.

Project Management & Operational Efficiency

Partner closely with the COO on organizational priorities, translating broad strategic objectives into actionable project plans, timelines, resource assignments, and measurable outcomes.

Evaluate existing clinical workflows and proactively recommend and execute practical process improvements.

Monitor practice Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, following projects through to successful, timely completion.

Exercise independent judgment and project ownership to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously with minimal oversight.

Support broader organizational initiatives across regional facilities as assigned, flexibly shifting home-base operations to meet local project demands across regional clinic sites.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Background

Professional Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive healthcare operational and clinical practice management experience within an outpatient or medical clinic setting.

Demonstrated Stability: Strong history of professional loyalty and job stability (long-term tenure with previous healthcare employers).

Leadership & Team Development: Proven track record of directly managing, coaching, and developing clinical administrative staff and operational teams.

Project Management Mindset: Strong project-management orientation with demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex initiatives, design operational roadmaps, and manage multiple projects independently from inception to completion.

Knowledge & Core Competencies

Clinical Operations Expertise: Deep operational understanding of patient care standards, clinical workflows, provider scheduling, facility utilization, and practice administrative needs.

Performance Tracking: Experience developing, monitoring, and executing against clinical and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Mobility & Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work on-site, with flexibility to travel and temporarily work on-site at other regional office locations based on project needs.

Desired Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field preferred.

Experience managing facility buildouts, clinic expansions, or practice space additions.

Proficiency with dedicated project-management software platforms.

Location and Work Type

Work Type: Full-Time Executive Leadership Position ($100,000 – $110,000 base salary + substantial annual performance bonus potential).

Work Setting: 100% On-Site (Primary headquarters setting, with regional project travel across local clinic sites as required).

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday standard business hours.
