Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics/Culinary Arts/Food Services/Hospitality Service or related.
• In lieu of bachelor, 6 years of healthcare food service/hospitality management experience.
• Masters degree in related field preferred.
• 3–4 years leadership experience in food service or hospitality management.
• 5–6 years director/manager level in senior dining or hospital environment preferred.
• Allergen Awareness Certification - VA State within 180 Days (Required).
• Food Protection Manager Certification - VA State within 180 Days (Required).
• Certified Dietary Manager/CDM CFPP - ANFP (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensures the facility/department complies with regulatory statutes and standards, including safety audits.
• Provides HR management to maximize staff performance and maintains adequate staffing.
• Manages payroll processes and ensures accuracy of time verification and inquiries.
• Develops annual operating budgets and monitors performance against budget.
• Reviews labor hours and benchmarks productivity with similar institutions.
• Leads huddles and maintains open communication with the team.
• Oversees downtime procedures and HIPAA compliance for resident data and meals.
