Job summary

Heartline Staffing is seeking an Associate, Mechanical Engineering Lead in Houston, TX, to join a regional healthcare engineering team anchored in a global multidisciplinary firm. You will serve as Project Manager and Mechanical Lead on healthcare design projects, delivering cutting-edge building systems with a focus on decarbonization, sustainability, and resiliency.

The role offers hybrid work with 3 days in office and 2 days from home, and a path to lead the Houston mechanical team while

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering is required.
Professional Engineering (PE) license in the US is required.
12+ years of professional experience designing building HVAC systems, including airside and hydronic components, with significant healthcare project experience.
Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and managing complex, large-scale client relationships.
Familiarity with ASHRAE, LEED energy efficiency and indoor quality, NFPA.

Responsibilities

Act as Project Manager and Mechanical Lead on multidisciplinary healthcare design projects.
Coordinate with multiple disciplines to deliver comprehensive, coordinated design deliverables.
Own quality standards, commercial metrics, and client relations for projects.
Potentially lead the Houston mechanical team and serve as hiring manager for mid-level staff.
Supervise and mentor team members, supporting career development.
